SPAR Broadacer - selling old cake and insult you when you complain!

Have spent over R160. — on cake at the spar at Broadacres today and was assure that those items are fresh from today. 1/2 later when I set down to eat them I realised that they were several days old and I had to dispose if them. I Sent an e-mail immediately to Spar and had a telephonic response from their manager in the line of: - They only sell fresh items (so I must be mistake or making this up) - That they do not care if I take this further (the exact words "you can complain to whoever you want........)

I actually put the phone down, did not want to get further insultat - does Spar think I am making this up and wast my time to write to them.

They did nit even have the courtesy to apologise for selling old chunk, and for their inability to control their goods nor their staff who is obviously prept to get rid of 3 day old cake at a premium price.
