SHAME ON YOU SPAR BLUFF ROAD.

This happened to my 85 year old friend last week at Spar and as of today's date there still has been no apology from management. It is a crying shame how she was humiliated in front of all the other customers.: I am very upset with the way I was treated in Spar, Bluff Road a week ago. I am 85 years of age, a pensioner, having lived in the Bluff for the last 18 years, so I am well known. On this particular day I had just finished my shopping and was on the way out of the shop with my purchases, when I was confronted by a member of the staff, telling me to follow her to the back of the shop. I was totally confused and refused, but she insited and I was basically frog marched in front of all the customers at the tills. Obviously I was being arrested for shop lifting..... On arrival at a dingy back room, all my purchases were removed from the trolley. And guess what they found : a sample of a coffee I had been given inside the shop. I was then told. after asking for their names, and being refused, that I was free to leave. No apology. Just be careful where you shop. If this is the treatment given to regular customers...... go find somewhere else to shop. I was very traumatised and my daughter undertook to take the matter up with the manager who said he would look into his security staff. She demanded that I receive a formal apology and gave him a week to do so. a Week has passed and that is why I am only now reporting the incident. To date I have heard nothing from him. So, shop there if you dont mind being subjected to this kind of treatment ..... or better still, find somewhere else to do your shopping. I am sending this to their head office as I am totally disgusted. I
