Spar Aloe Ridge Burgersfort

I went to Spar Aloe Ridge in Burgersfort, Limpopo Province to get my son chips and ice-cream. The Spar has ice-cream they sell in small plastic cups for about R13.00 depending on which one you buy.

I went to the till and there was a white lady with black hair who was to assist me. I asked about the ice-cream and how it works. She was so impatient with me and wanted to scan the items I had without assisting with the ice-cream. I informed her I don't know how it works and I'd she could assist me.

She asked the lady who was at the till next to her assisting another customer. The lady was busy and she said to me she doesn't know the ice-cream that's available and how much they are as they differ. I insisted and she told me to go to the ice-cream stand.

I went, a lady assisted me, showed me the available ice-cream and I bought for my son and I. When I got back she was assisting two white ladies. I told her which ice-cream I chose. She then was irritated. I gave her my Spar card and she didn't scan my items with the Spar card for deduction due to the points. She then said she told me to press the cancel button on the swiping machine. But I didn't hear that, I instead tapped my card to pay and she said she didn't use the Spar rewards card.

I asked her why, she said I was supposed to cancel the transaction instead of swiping my card, so I paid full price. The two white ladies stood with her, particularly one of them who said I have no manners in the cashier's presence while I was just enquiring as to why she didn't use the card while she was holding it in her hand.

I was insulted and I returned the Lays chips. I am very aggrieved by the cashier's treatment. I kept the ice-cream as the lady who assisted me was very kind and patient when I explained I didn't know how it works. I got my ice-cream and meat and left.
