SILVERTON SPAR WORK ETHIC

I went to Silverton Spar an hour ago. THE SHOCK OF MY LIFE👀👀👀 I made a mistake with a 2 chocolate for R36 special whereby I took two different brands without noticing until I got to the till. I asked for exchange they said it's not possible then later said they have to call the owner but it's gonna take long. I told them it's okay I'll wait.... they then said they can't. I asked for my refund,they said it's not possible! I asked dthem to show me the refund policy,it's nowhere to be seen. I feel sorry for those employees because the other lady gave me my R14 shortfall from her pocket,probably from her transport fares. What kind of WORK ETHIC did I get exposed to??? I can't stop thinking about those sad employees because they are honestly trying to survive
