Silence is Golden

One often goes to a supermarket and can't find what they are looking for on the shelves. When you ask one of the staff, the vast majority of the time, what you find is that the staff member will look up at you from the crate that they are sitting on and state that they are out of stock. If you are up to it, and decide to have a more extensive look for the item, you generally find it on the shelves, and realize that the staff member was too lazy to go and help you look. I was fortunate enough to come across Silence at the Komatipoort Superspar. I was looking for a really small item, and expected not to find it anyway. However upon speaking to Silence, I realized that I have met the kind of supermarket attendant/staff member that really goes the extra mile. He listened to my request very carefully and then told me to continue with my shopping while he tries to find my item. I was pleasantly surprised to meet him again in another isle of the supermarket, wielding a large selection of items all in line with what I wanted. Aside from his efficiency, he was well presented in his uniform, had a great smile on his face and was a shining example of what supermarkets should be about.
