rude staff members at the entrance and exit point

I went to a Superspar in Highflats, and as I entered was demanded my handbag be checked. When I questioned when this new procedure started,the response I got was they don't have time to answer to anyone and certanly not what I wanted to know. When I requested for management to perhaps explain if this was a new procedure,the lady just waved her hand in my face and said I think I'm more educated than them, I should get off my high horse. This was rather embarissing as it was said out loud in the presence of other customers. I'm a regular spar customer and not once have I received such service from them. I might not mean much to Spar but, I will not set my foot there ever again and the same goes for those closest to me. There are plenty supermarkets waiting to value my contribution.
