Rude Service

Good Day.

I have a small complaint regarding a staff member that works at Daku Spar in Port Elizabeth, SA.

So I went in for a slice of cake.. lol a slice of cake but at that time there was no one at the department, then a guy that works at the store, his name is Melikhaya or Malibongwe or something close to those names . He's a short guy, dark in complexion and bald.. he went to that dept and I asked him where's the person responsible and his answer was "he doesn't work there(at the dept) and he doesn't like my approach .. so I then asked what should be done in regards to the matter he told me in a rude manner that I shouldn't ask him I must go to management.

My question to is this, is this how customers are treated if a person doesn't work at a certain dept? And he blatantly refused to help then he left while we were asking instead of looking for someone that works at the dept, also is this the treatment that are we subject to because we at the location?
