Rotten Attitude of Spar

Last Tuesday, I went to purchase milk Parklands (Cape Town) Spar. I always buy milk (and tea) for personal use in bulk and as I was loading the special onto the trolley, Ngoni (staff) asked me howmany I was buying. I said ten(boxes of six). He said he has the right to limit quantities so I asked why is it then not displayed on the shelf which boldly indicates the (special) price. He said it was in the leaflet. I insisted that it should also have been on the shelf notice indicating the price but he was not interested. I then requested for the store manager and he (Ngoni) said he was the manager. I later learnt that he was not the manager. I later contacted the real manager Andre. I complained to Andre about Ngoni's rotten attitude towards a customer who did not assist but was instead asserting his authority. He said he will "get to the bottom of it" and call within 24 hours. When after 24 hours I did not receive a call from Andre, I called Spar head office (customer care) in Durban and spoke to Linda who said they will investigate and thereafter regional manager for Cape Town, will call within 3 days. I called HO again 4 days later and was again told by Linda that a certain Eugene will call.

I in fact said to all:

1. Why limit quantities in the small print in the leaflets that all customers do not see.

2. It was not as if people were in queues to buy the product as I was the only customer for the particular product.

3. It was alleged by Andre: People buy to resell. If so, how does reselling affect Spar because Spar still obtains the advertised purchased price.

4. Ngoni spoke very politely to the White customers.

Nothing else but rotten attitude. This Spar used to be my store but no more.
