“Ripe and Ready” Rock Hard Avos

For the 2nd time in 1 month I have purchased a 2 pack of “Ripe and Ready To Eat” Avos from Spar’s Freshline range but upon cutting my first avo its still rock hard when you cut it open. It then actuall “cracks” as you try and separate it from the pit.At R59 its R3 more than even Woolworths. How can you sell something saying its ripe and ready to eat when its clearly not, 2 of the last 4 packs bought from Spar gave me this problem. First was from Spar Palm Grove in Durbanville and now again tonight from Spar Aurora in Durbanville.

Someone like me, Im on a strict diet, so my dinner strictly includes avo tonight, I then spend extra on a quality product only to learn that its not even ready to eat like the packaging indicates… now your shop is closed and I need to amend my dietery plans.

Please speak to your supplier or whoever decides this stuff is ripe and ready thus laying about it and then putting that price on a far below product.

Come on, please, R59 is a lot of money for most of us and this is making us waste our money, unacceptable.
