REFUSAL TO SELL AT MARKED PRICE
Sunday 19 November 2017 around 12:15pm I went to Spar to buy bread. I saw a sealed pack of 6 Portuguese rolls with a price tag on with the barcode, priced at R2.50. I went to the cashier to buy the bread and the cashier couldn't believe the price. She said it must be a mistake but she knows they must sell the product at the market price. The customers behind me said that Spar has to sell the item at that price. The cashier then called a staff member to come check and said that the price is per bun. This was incorrect as the bag was sealed and only one price was on the bread. It also did not state each. I insisted to get the product at the marked price and the staff member then rudely took the bread from me and went to the manager. The manager Matthew was holding the bread and said he refuses to sell the bread to me at the market price. He admitted it was Spars fault for marking the price wrong. When I requested to take a photo of the item and price he grabbed the bread forcefully out of my hands. He sent the bread back to the bakery to "enquier" about the price and when they returned there was a new price label on the bread. It was Spars fault for the price error and not mine. I have never been treated this badly by a company and am fami**** with the pricing policy regarding wrong pricing and customers rights.
