Spar supermarket at the Bassonia center has by far the worst store manager I have ever met. In the current situation we are facing in South Africa, I ask the manager why his cashiers were not wearing gloves and he informed me how it was the employees choice to wear them and it was not for him to implement. These cashiers are handling peoples food and non of them have been tested for corona, he then went as far as to tell me that I can pack my own groceries if I have a problem with the status quo and how his managing the SPAR. Spar is not his company and his lack of intelligence will degrade the high standard that the franchise has built. Anyone using this spar must be ready to pack their own groceries if you buying there. Spar should take that manager back to training .
