Purposely Seeking Off-meat!!!

A couple weeks ago I bought 2 packs of oxtail from the Plattekloof Spar with plans of making a lovely oxtail stew for Mother's Day. But when I opened the oxtail, it was off! BUT... Not only was the oxtail off! The oxtail packages had an expiry date of 09 May 16 however this had been COVERED OVER by another packaging displaying an expiry date of the 20th of May ! So Spar has actually blatantly **** about the freshness of the meat, which could have caused serious illness! Luckily I had realized before cooking it to avoid illness, however by that time none of the stores nearby had oxtail and the family lunch was now ruined! Disgusted by Spar's practice, I emailed them to complain about this issue as others could get seriously ill from this. I received an automatic response saying someone will contact me within 7 working days.. IVE BEEN WAITING 17 WORKING DAYS and still no response, even after asking for an immediate response yesterday! And just to top it all off, I went into the store the other day and they had done the SAME THING to a new batch of oxtail, trying to extend the expiry date! Completely disgusted!
