Pay for damaged goods

I am absolutely horrified at the service I just received from Spar, I went to purchase a few items and one of the yogurts fell out of my hand at the till and the manager told me that I must pay for it... They have a policy... You break it you pay for it.... I have had accidents like this in other well known grocery stores and never have they made me pay for something that broke accidentally!!!! I think this is very bad service and I personally will not go back to that Spar.... Because of a yogurt....
