Old stock sold without a care for health of patron

On taking back the Spar from previous management the owner has sold old stale cake, rotten pork chops, stale bread rolls - given for free as part of a special and a number of other items to us over a period of about a year. Although the Spar is the most convenient shop in our area we dread the thought of buying anything from him as every time we decide to try him out he lets us down with something else. Rather than sell us 4 day old chicken and rotten fruit salad either dispose of your stock or give day old stock away to the less fortunate and charge us a few rand more for freshness. We have spent a considerable amount of money on valoid and immodium not to mention lost a lot of money on having to throw the meat we purchased less than half an hour away because it was off and we did not want another case of food poisoning. Prior to him taking the store back we were not sold rotten or old food. I decided to make this report so as something can be done to bring back quality to the store before something serious happens like the poisoning of an infant which could be fatal. I raised the food poisoning incident with the owner but he appeared non chalant about the problem.
