Nonchalant Attitude

On Friday 10.02.2017 i went to SuperSpar Cape Gate and bought groceries to a total value of R698.27 Part of this groceries were two packets of beef ox tail to a value of R145.30 On Sunday morning 12.02.2017 i went to the market and bought a variety of expensive vegies in order to make a nice potjie with the ox tail. Later that same afternoon, my family arrived and we started preparing for the potjie. As my wife unwrapped the ox tail, an intolerant odor hit us in the kitchen. It was very clear that the ox tail was off. First of all i was so embarrassed in front of my family, but then it hit me. What are we going to do for lunch. Furious and angry i asked my wife to take back the oxtail and get decent ox tail. My wife returned with no ox tail, but the cash instead. I asked my wife with whom she spoke at Super Spar and she said Lizma. Lizma apparently said there was no more ox tail left and the only thing from her side would be to refund us. On Monday 13.02.2017 i personally went back to the shop and spoke to Alena whom indicated that she would take it further, seeing that i wasn't compensated for my petrol, my trouble, my time and the embarrassment i had to endure. On Tuesday 14.02.2017 i phoned the shop and spoke to Lizma. Lizma then assured me that they have taken it up with management and the problem is receiving attention and will be resolved shortly. On Friday afternoon 17.02.2017 i still have not heard anything from Super Spar. I then visited the shop again and spoke to Alena. Last mentioned then went to call the main manager named Deon. She later returned by saying that she couldn't find Deon, but spoke to the 2nd in charge instead. She then conveyed Rudi's answer over to me as follows: so what must i do now, the customer already received his refund. what more must i do.

This is not the 1st, the 2nd or the 3rd time that i have received the same never minded treatment from management at Super Spar about bad products/service. I spend a lot of money at Super Spar and i would think that they(management) would at least have the decency to resolve this issue in a professional manner which is a win win situation for all.
