Network Problems preventing me from buying Formula

My husband just went to Superspar Helshoogte Stellenbosch to buy Formula milk for my 13th Month old as the Spar in our area(Cloetesville) closes earlier.

With work and loadshedding it is not easy to get all errants done.

We however could not purchase the formula as Spar has been experiencing "network problems" the entire day with their systems.

So my question is Why not inform customers beforehand to rather pay cash instead of card because the money goes "out" of your account and will only reflect into your account within 24 hrs. I am utterly disappointed in Spar and the service that we experienced tonight. You did not once have or show empathy as you couldn't wait to close your doors soon enough. It has been a while since I have felt so hopeless as to where we will get formula this time of the night for my son who exclusively drinks formula.

I am saddened to my core Superspar Simonsrust.
