Most dehumanising & humiliating & stressful experience

I have just had such a dehumanising, demoralising experience at Hunters Spar. I have a motorbike to run errands. As I entered the store, I was told by security that I must remove my helmet n backpack & place them on the floor at the entrance of the store as the small table that they had there was full. I explained that I am not prepared to do that...as we are in a pandemic, I am not willing to place my helmet back on from the floor due to very real contamination of the virus. I always wear a face mask under my helmet & there is no need for me to remove my helmet. The manager of the store, Morné. He told me that I must remove my helmet as 'people *****'. So he was calling me a potential ***** when I am a loyal Hunters Spar for the past 5 yrs. I explained that I am an asthmatic n diabetic being more susceptible to dying of COVID once contracted. Morné was very abrupt n dismissive, saying there is nothing he can do. Why must customets suffer for the company's failings. They should have proper surveillance in place eg cctv surveillance instead of harassing their loyal customers & making them feel unwelcome & *******. Shocking...I immediately left & went to Linton Grange Spar & there I walked in with my helmet...no problem...what an uplifting experience compared to what humiliation I had to endure at Hunters.
