Morals have gone out the window

I am outraged at the way that the customers and staff handled what was done today 20/07/2018. A little boy put a chocolate bar in his coat pocket. I thought to myself why not try and tell his mom, she wasn’t looking and as a mom I would want to know what my child is doing. I tapped her on the shoulder and got out the words “Ma’am I think your child is trying too...” She immediately started to yell at him and he started crying . I felt bad and thought about buying that same chocolate for the little man but the way things were handled I’m glad I didn’t.

That mom should be more aware. Security was standing right where the child was, yet needed to ask what was happening. The other customers in line made it a bigger commotion than it needed to be.

I was morally doing what is right. Yes, I understand it was a child who was *****ing. However, that wasn’t the worst of it a guy in the store who looked about 40 came up to me outside and said “That was just a child, I’ll make you pay” Granted yes, it was a child. However the best age to teach a child right from wrong is when the child is still small and their brains are still growing and figuring out the world.

I’m not sure what the world is coming to that a person cannot morally do what’s right without being threatened and hackled in a store.

I will not be shopping here any longer.
