Mielie Kip Virus

So i have been told that the mielie kip products have also been cross contaminated with listeriosis. I went into spar broadway durban north to return my products and the lady told me that they will not refund it as this is a mielie kip product and it is not affected by listeriosis. She was not rude and told me in a nice manner, but i am unsure of what i should do with these products, whether i am able to consume or not.
