MELVILLE SPAR EMPLOYEE THEFT

My elderly mum's bank card was ****** by a teller at the Melville Spar. We reported same to them and they had positive footage of the theft. Despite us having informed them they went ahead dismissed the employee without informing us. The employee had spent R1000 off my mum's card and since SPAR knew of this and dismissed her without consulting with us prior, they should be held responsible for repayment of this amount. Has anyone else experienced such at any other store and what recourse did you undertake?
