Mellerware kettle

I decided to take the Mellerware kettle to my work place on Tuesday (13 October 2020) to check whether our house plugs where the problem ,it worked. Then yesterday (14 October 2020) it stopped working till today it's not working. I don't understand how can I keep something that works the next moment it doesn't work. My colleagues can attest to that it doesn't work since yesterday.
