Maggots in chicken at northwold spar

On the 3rd of may 2023 I went to northwold Spar in randburg with my family to purchase some items. We are frequently at the spar. Most of the days we go to northwold Spar atleast 2-3 times a day. We purchased some chicken wings and a full chicken along with some other groceries. When I returned home to prepare supper I was cleaning the wings and found maggots coming out the chicken. I immediately took it back to spar only to be told by the manager that it's head offices chicken and they have to deal with it all he can do is exchange it for another tray or something else to the same value. My husband and I were completely ****ed off as not only are we frequent customers but one of our kids could of eaten it and got extremely sick. We were than promised that head office will call us and no one called us we had to call them and they still did nothing about it. I am completely disappointed and disgusted in this. This is not the first time we experienced this with buying meat products at this specific spar. The only reason we go there is because it is close to our home. Really disappointed
