LYNDHURST SPAR PROTECTS OFFENDERS AND BANS VICTIM OF ABUSE IN THEIR STORE

Have been a loyal regular client since the days of the very old spar and then when the new spar was opened and then new management took over. Ye I agree with other reviews that this spar sells expired goods and their fresh vegetables that they sell so cheap which is of a very bad quality as there is no shelf life specified, the goods dont last 2 days and they become rotten to the core. I have stopped buying vegetables from them and switched to the fruit basket which is 2 minutes away from them for better quality and longer last vegetables and matched and even better prices for quality. Today I happened to stop there as my daughter wanted to get some snacks in a hurry. While in the shop a woman with a hand basket came from behind and pushed me forward deliberately and rudely with the basket against my back causing me pain. When I asked her what is she doing she screamed out 'VOETSSACK" waving her hand at me. I called the manager and complained to him and pointed out the lady. He simply did nothing but walked away. I went to security and asked them to intervene while I called the police as I was told by security that they can do nothing about it. While talking to the security the manager told security that he asked the lady and she said she knows nothing about. He failed to ask her in my presence or check his camera or listen to his staff member who witnessed it.I asked him to call the eye witness which was a member of his staff and to look at the cameras he simply just ignored me and allowed the lady to pass him and security and did nothing. I called the owner of the shop whom everybody said is not there but in fact was there. He was very rude to me and told me they can do nothing and it is not their responsibility. This angered me as I am in their shop on their premises and they can do nothing. I told him I will not buy anything from this shop again as I find it a high risk to be abused in his shop and they can do nothing. I met family of mine in the shop and related to them what had happened while still speaking to them the Owner rushed to me and in the presence of these people he said to me he is banning me from this shop and I must leave immediately or he will get security to throw me out as he had the right to admission humiliating me in public. It was very clear that the security and the manager were protecting the offender and me being the victim became the ********. I have spent thousands of Rands shopping at this spar and this is how they treated me. I refuse to shop at spar ever again and will not hesitate to tell all my friend s and family about my experience at spar. Checkers Pick n pay Shoprite and fruit basket will now get my money TO HELL with spar.
