Lockdown rules flouted

My doubts about the seriousness of Spar Midrand, China Town to prevent the coronavirus spread were confirmed earlier today, just after 16:50. It happen after I have requested to sanitize my hands as I leave the store, after purchasing some items for about R300. Security Officer sprayed a drop on my hands and that prompted me to request another drop, but the security officer refused. Someone who was introduced as a store manager came shouting from where he was sitting with his colleague, that I must not sanitize again because that sanitizers is very expensive. That confirmed my doubts since they were still selling meals cooked in-store even though that is currently prohibited by the Disaster Management Regulations. The manager was sitting, before joining the commotion, with his colleague, less than one meter apart from each other and with not protective gears such as masks and face protection. So it is so clear that Health and Safety in that store comes after profits, whether you contract disease or not - that is not their concern. The focus is on profit not well being. The only workers with PPE are the cashiers, the rest have nothing. Managers fail to follow social distancing protocols. The manager further said I must bring my own sanitizer. I must consider laying charges for contravening the lock-down rules
