LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE

I received a birthday gift basket on Sunday. My friend purchased a few items from Superspar Spar in Ballito where she lives. So imagine to my surprise when I attempted to exchange a few items at Superspa Avonmore in Berea where I live, I was told that they not allowed to do it . I would have to go to Ballito to do the exchanges.

I explained to them that I was not looking for a cash refund but would rather get stuff that I would enjoy and would probably end up spending more, but they were adamant. I called customer service and was told exchanges/returns are done at the store’s discretion.

The manger Steve refused to assist . I have never heard of chain stores enforcing this policy even looking at their adverts they all fall under the same banner .

I do understand that even though it’s a franchise , stores are independently owned but policy absolutely stinks . I for one will never be supporting Spar Avonmore ever again . I rather spend my money at Checkers , Woolworths and Pick n Pay who truly embrace the concept of Customer Service
