Lack of basic hygiene in Food dept.

Yesterday round about lunch time my colleague and I went to get a couple of stuff at Spar Groenkloof and decided to buy lunch as well. We got to the hot food dept and wanted to buy food. That dept was full of flies all over the food and the stuff that was serving food had NO apron, NO hand gloves and wore jewelry. The only thing they wore was a head cap. That dept has a SMALL FLY TRAP. I complained to the lady who served the food and they ignore me like I wasn't there. One of the serving guys was serving someone cream spinach and stir the spinach with a s**** and the spinach was caught between his fingers - I was repulsed and disgusted. The gem squash plate had flies all over them. I told them this is not allowed and they should have Basic Hygiene Training for Food Handlers. Spar's food handler should have a basic understanding what hygiene is and how a small fly can carry salmonella, anthrax and tuberculosis. Flies have also been known to transmit the eggs of parasitic worms. I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to buy food there until they have the hygiene in order.
