Kloof SPAR's Roses Coffee Shop

SPAR in Kloof: yesterday, on recommendations from friends, my wife and I visited Kloof SPAR's Roses Coffee Shop for the first time. We ordered a Latte, as we like strong coffee and these usually come with two coffee shots. On enquiring, the waitron told us that it came with only one. No problem, we asked for an extra shot to be added. We were prepared to pay for the extra shot, which we have done on occassion elsewhere, usually an extra R7 or R8. Not here: we were charged a full expresso for the extra shot, ie another R14 each, making these the most expensive coffees we have ever had! I asked to speak to the coffee shop manager, but she was unmoved; I asked to speak to the manager of the SPAR - he was likewise unsympathetic and completely unwilling to compromise. I then informed them that we would never visit this coffee shop again; neither seemed to be particularly fussed. So, anyone visiting Kloof SPAR's Roses Coffee Shop beware of the rip-off if you like a strong coffee! The waitron got her tip as this was not her fault but we will never be darkening the doorway of Kloof SPAR's Roses Coffee Shop ever again.
