Kensington Spar old stock

I purchased a container of croissants at Spar in Broadway. The packed date said 9/1/20 and best before date said 24/1/20. When I went home I realised there was another sticker underneath that said packaged date 4/1/20 and best before 8/1/20. The croissants were out for 6 days and still sold to customers for a cheaper price, they were hard, dry and moulded.
