Incorrect pricing than indicated

I wanted to purchase a pot of hair product from spar at R76.99 , At the till the cashier had to go ask what the product costs, apon returning she informed me that the price is R87.99. I obviously disputed it and then the manager came to assist. I told her that the price on the shelf said R76.99 and not R87.99 after a while the manager returned and said that in fact in was R87.99. I then asked why the pricing was not updated? The manager could not give me an answer and insisted I pay the higher amount. I find this totally unacceptable because in the consumer protection act it states that the price you see is the price you pay, and I do have my pricing correct because that spar in known to be useless. So I did I fact check the name on the shelf to be sure to avoid embarrassment. This whole situation was embarrassing and a total wast of time. I had to quibble over a few rands in front of a very busy spar just before closing time
