Harassing shoppers to prevent theft

On friday evening two of my relatives went shopping in Spar Parow Valley. This is a weekly activity.

What was different this week was a new security guard who stopped them at the entrance and told them the empty cloth shopping bag would not be allowed in the store. So they walked back to the car, placed the bag in the boot and returned to the store. Now security having decided that they were probably *******, followed them around. He made it obvious what he was doing.

A complaint was lodged and he simply told them to back off. Other shoppers got involved. I imagine you have video to verify what is being claimed.

I guess if he had treated white shoppers with the same attention, they would have accepted that he was just doing his job.

Of course you will say this was not a ****** or prejudicial action. They were hurt and embarrassed. These were not kids, but adults. What would you do if this happened to your aunt or mother?
