Faulty goods

I bought a kettle at Hilltop Spar in April (during lockdown). The kettle is unfortunately not working. I sent someone to take it back to Spar and the person was told that I had a 6 months guarantee therefore I needed to buy a new one.

I totally disagree with this, nowhere was I told about the 6 months. And the kettle is still fairly new and I refuse to pay for a new one. I called the store and spoke to a very rude "manager" that refused to give me her name. I called again and I was told that a manager by the name of Mukudzei will call me.

I'm not sure exactly what's happening at the store however I really need a kettle as boiling water from a pot is not ideal.
