False advertising

To whom this may concern Yesterday on the 28th of April went to spar orange farm for the tall horse special and the cashier was not sure if the sale was still on referred me to the supervisor who then confirmed that it was still on,went back to the till to pay was told that special nolonger exists but i saw on a catalog that it will only end on the 7th of may.can i ger clarity on why is the store not selling on the sale or promotion price wanted to buy 12 bottles but was told special is finished i don't really understand how everyone knows about this sale but the store dsnt.
