Expired product

I bought an aqueous cream from Spar Pharmacy at Citrusdal yesterday. I did not open the product immediately. I opened it after i left the store. The smell was terrible I cant discribe. This is the product that I normally buy there and I know how it smells. I checked the expirey date it has been removed. I returned to the store within 15 minutes and they refuse to take it or provide me with another product and guess what that was the only one on their shelf. The consultants were very rood chasing us out of the store.Camerine van Neel was the person who assisted me which refuse to give my money back. Its extremely disappointing when the one of the large retailers are providing poor service like this and selling the products that are expired. I want my money back or they need to provide me with the right product as I cannot use this on by body.
