Expired food re-labelled
Bought pre-cooked sosaties from Superspar in Westwood on 09 June 2015, and after my kids ate it they got sick with diarrhea the next day. I knew it was the food bought at Spar as that was the only thing they had for dinner. I checked the packaging and found that the sosaties show a sell by date of 12 June 2015 with another label placed over this label with an expiring date of 01 June 2015. I took pictures of the packaging and on 12 June 2015 visited the store.

This was the most shocking part where the manager Jaco van Schalkwyk first refused to accept that it happened. I then showed him the pictures and even more of the same product with two or more labels on the shelf 3 days later. He was very arrogant and said these things happens and because I had no medical bills they will not really accept it. They offered me compensation in chocolates for the same value. I refused and ask to speak to a senior manager and they refused after several attempts I finally got hold of the Regional Ops Manager, Alistair and he also was full of excuses, as I was not allowed to contact him. I was then contacted and promised an explanation and Spar card. This never happened. Disgusting!
