Empty Gas Bottle
Since I retired, 6 years ago, I spend most of my time in Venterstad but visit PE once a month when I normally do my shopping at Newton Park Spar before returning home.

I bought a Sodastream Gas bottle at this store at the end of February. When I installed the bottle I discovered that it was empty. This is the second time that this has happened and I decided to send an e-mail requesting a refund (I attached my purchase slip). My e-mail was not honoured with a reply, so this morning, I decided to phone the manager.

Warren, the manager to whom I spoke, asked me if I had contacted the \number on the bottle". I explained that I bought the item at his store and it was not up to me to contact their suppliers.

I was told that I will not be getting a refund. I would have to bring the empty bottle back to them. The bottle is 430 Kms away.

It does not make sense to me. Rather lose a client who spends more than R6000 each month at Spar"
