Defamation of character
This past Saturday my son and I decided to stop Meyersdal Spar for some lunchtime goods- if I had know what was going to play of in that store I would have driven past-as we walked in in placed a Slab of chocolate in my trolley, we then walked to the bread section when I asked my son to get another chocolate-after a while I looked back to where my son was and saw security chat to him-This man was blatantly accusing my son of shoplifting! I Asked how he came to that conclusion and he rep**** that my son had a empty ice tea bottle that's why? When I questioned him it. Was even more upsetting when he told me he was instructed according to him by his boss the owner of the shop to check my son, he then signed the chocolate and instructed my son that he has to pay for it? My son was dressed in his school clothes, blazer, tie and cap- he and I was humiliated in view of all the other customers, his schools name and honour was dragged through the mud- who even does something like this? Are you running a sircus?<br> This was a total defamation of character, to my son and myself-i frequent that store weekly and feel we need a apology in writing and in person from the owner and security guard .
