Debit / Credit payments at Spar Bredell

Hi, <br> I would like to enquire what is Spar's policy on Debit Card / Credit Card swipes at stores in Gauteng? Yesterday (28 April 2015), I went to the Spar in Bredell to purchase two items. I was told that transactions that amounted to less than R20.00 are not permitted to be paid with a Debit Card or Credit Card! I enquired with the teller only to be told she does not know the reason. I find this unacceptable as a large proportion of customers no longer cash on them for safety reasons. Furthermore, the POS devices are not the property of the store, but rather the Bank that the store banks with. I will never shop at any Spar store ever again and will now only shop at Pick 'n Pay, were I enjoy rewards for all spends on my card(s), Debit or Credit! I want an explanation why customers are being victimised for not being able to spend for less than R20.00. <br>
