Customer service of Spar

Below is the actual communication between myself and the Spar operations manager, over a complaint about polony that had expired.

Good day Bernice,

I am highly disgusted in your response below, as you are calling me a **** indirectly.

Firstly was not looking for any reimbur*****t nor was I looking for a justification. I could have come to the store and made a scene, but I thought I would handle this civilly therefore a complaint on the website.

If you really want to prove that I was there that day, please check you surveillance camera’s for that day, at about 8:30 the till by the magazine stand we were two ladies. I have also attached my a screen shot of my transaction as proof.

If this is what you call customer service then I must say it sucks.

An apology would have been sufficient

Thank you for taking the time to bring this matter under our attention.

We have tried reaching you telephonically, but were unsuccessful.

The matter has been investigated and feedback was provided, as follows:

• No expired Escort garlic polony stock was found in the fridges on the selling floor • Fridges are checked twice daily for quality, packing fresh stock and removing expired stock • No expired stock was recorded over the past week in the store • No expired stock was reported by customers over the past week in the store • No expired stock was found in the back-up fridges • When the system was checked, polony was bought on the day, but not the polony claimed which has been expired.

Unfortunately the store will not honour your claim and regard this matter as closed.

I trust you will find the above in order.
