Clueless manager

The manager here at the store has no regards to customers who complain about the atrocious, client services at the store. I have gone to the store as usual to buy a few items.

First incident This has happened more than once. I had once spoken to one of the operational managers about the staff, whom have no privacy when they converge for lunch time. The staff members have lunch On The side walk next to the store. Infront of each and every customer whom walks in and out of the store.

I had a brief conversation with the staff members asking them, about their staff canteen, they told me they do have it, but it's unhygenic, filthy and reeks of dead rodents and their feces.

I spoke to the manger who in return gave me attitude about them not being allowed to sit outside and that they have a stuff canteen at the back, that this is his store and should do as he pleases. Little did I know, he'd not whip up his act and treat his employees with the dignity they well deserve.

Second incident. I went shopping the other day recently, at the SPAR in Park rand Lifestyle center (Boksburg) as I usually do, I find the manager a Portuguese guy, reprimanding his staff personnel infront of the store at the till points.

I intervene and tell the manager that, this is not how it's done. That he can't cause a scene infront of everyone at the store. That he should handle the matter calmly and away from spectators. He told me, how dare do I intervene in a matter that doesn't concern me, and that this is his store all rights of admission is reserved. I then told him I don't care about the rights of admission because this doesn't concern admission but the right of employees according to the labour relations. He didn't seem bothered by what I was alluding to him.

This manager doesn't seem to get the fact that without customers there is no profit, without staff there is no productivity.

He is egotistic and condescending that disregarding everyone else who comes and confronts him about his illmannerd self and the way he treats his staff. Has little knowledge of how to communicate with his subordinates and criticism. I will no longer be going to shop there anymore till he is removed or reprimanded by his seniors. His very rude and displeasing.
