CHICKEN WRAPS MADE US SICK

On the 31st December 2017, I went to Spar on Florida Road to get some chicken wraps. The wraps were immediately put in a cooler box that had ice in, so that they would not get warm. They remained in the sealed cooler box till the time we got to the function we were working at. Three chicken wraps were purchased, one chicken mayo and two Thai chicken. A few hours after eating the chicken wraps my son started feeling a bit ill and fell asleep, after the function ended I packed up and dropped off my assistant (who fell ill not long after he was dropped off) and proceeded to drive back to Durban only me and my son. I then had to pull over on the free way as I was so nauseous and actually did end up vomiting on the side of the road in the early hours of the morning. It is unfortunate that being a DJ means you have to drive all hours of the morning but having to stop and take a huge risk due to under cooked of off chicken is unacceptable. On the first we went back to Spar to inform them that their quality control is clearly lacking and I was assured that James (the manager) would phone me on the 2nd of January. I am still waiting for that call a week later.

I would like to thank Spar for their blatant disregard of what in my opinion was a serious matter.
