Cash back

Went to Richmond Spar on the 2/02/2024 to buy few things and needed a cash back of R3000 I was told I needed to buy for 30% of the amount I was doing the cash back for. This is new to me as I've been to different Spar's for cash back and first time ever hearing the 30% story. All I want to know does this only apply to Richmond Spar?
