Bottle Top in Spar Cake

To me Spar Rosmead was one of my favorite places to go for any type of cakes for festivities. Unfortunately I was in town and would not have made it in time if I had to go all the way to Rosmead so I opted to go to Spar Grand Central in Town, it was my first experience there and the service was pleasant so I continued to purchased 2 cakes and 2 banana loaves. I made it in time for our family gathering in memory of our father who passed away 3 months ago. After prayer we all gathered to eat and when we cut the banana loaves and shared it to the guest's, half way cutting the first loaf we found a round yellow bottle cap similar to a 2 litre vegetable oil bottle inside the loaf. Not only was I disgusted it was embarrassing to serve that to guests that came all the way to honor our father. I immediately removed all the cakes I bought from the table and I was angry and disappointed!!! How could Spar allow their brand to be dragged through the mud by a branch in a central area who clearly has no regard for hygiene or proper procedures to avoid incidents like these! How do I even confront a store manager with this issue! It's repulsive and on such a sensitive day to experience something like that was even more sad. I will never return and definitely warn everyone I know of my Spar experience. Totally unacceptable!

Reviewer Update
I had to come back to inform you guys of the great customer service I received after I informed Spar Grand Central of my bad experience. The branch manager, newly appointed since March 2019, actually investigated the matter and found the culprit who he then sent on training to improve their knowledge and s****s in the bakery. Not only that he came straight to my home to personally apologize and offered me gifts to make up for the bad experience. It wasn't the gifts that impressed me but rather the fact that he took the time to investigate, train his staff and personally come to apologize that really changed my mind about the store and the vision he has to change the perception people have of that specific store. I commend him, wish him well and if anyone is able to make a difference it will be Jonathan because his business sense and the fact that he values his customer is already the basic necessities to run a successful business.
