Bad service @ Mills Spar

A few years ago, Mills Spar opened and they were great - friendly staff, fresh veggies, etc.

However over the last while things seem to have deteriorated!

Last year, I bought their Sunday roast (pork), it was incredibly spicey I couldn't finish it. Within 20minutes I was suffering severe stomach cramps and vomiting. 3hrs later I was in hospital diagnosed with food poisoning.

My husband took this with them - they advised that NOBODY has ever had an issue with their deli. The manager of the deli was unavailable and we are still awaiting his/her call!

Then just last weekend I bought R248 worth of groceries and wanted to pay with 2x R200 notes. The teller took the notes and looked and looked at them then got up and walked off. I had no idea what was going on.

Within less than 5min someone who I would assume was a floor manager arrived. They told me my one note was stained, it wasn't **** but they won't accept the stain as bank machines don't accept them.

I advised I had received this note from the bank machine right next door to their shop and was told to not make my problems their problems.

They then proceeded to ask if I had other cash alternatively if I was to pay with card. If not to pack my groceries back on the shelves! I was not impressed with the attitude.

Come on Spar - your cashiers are unfriendly and lethargic! Your bananas are so over ripe!

What happened???
