Bad meat in the butchery

On 10 January 2018, I went to a super spar in Silverton to buy ox liver. when I arrived, the live looked like it had been partly cooked and mixed with raw liver. When I enquired, the lady there told me that they did not cook the liver but that is a different type of liver (whatever that meant). On 20 January 2018, I went back to the same spar to purchase raw (hopefully fresh) fish. I took it home and as I was starting to prepare the fish, it had a foul smell. I went back to the shop to indicate that the fish had a foul smell. They gave me my refund and I left the shop. On 24 January 2018 I went back to the same spar to purchase pork shank, this time I decided to purchase one that is sealed and not one from the butcher since I could not trust the butcher anymore. I went home and as I was preparing it, it smelled bad but I thought it is my imagination, since I have had bad experience with that spar previously. but as I began to cook, the smell got bad and I realised that the pork was indeed spoiled, even though the price seal showed that it was packaged on 24 January 2018. I sent it back and because it was late, I had no choice but to take another pork, but had to smell it first before paying for it, which I found to be quite disturbing. I am very worried now that the spar that I shop at may actually cause my family to suffer from listeriosis.
