Bad Food

I went to Selgro Spar last week on the 11th of August 2021 in the morning and went straight to the cooked foods and baked goods section because I was super hungry and wanted something to fill me up and something sweet afterwards.

I bought magwinya, a long donut and a big milk tart amongst other packaged goods.

I'm not a frequent shopper of that Spar, granted that was most probably my second time in it. I usually opt for the ShopRite which is accross the street but on this particular morning I was closer to the Spar and decided to give it a try.

I was very disappointed at the quality of their food. I understand that it was early in the morning but I think it's better to not display any food while you're making it so it can be sold fresh to customers instead of selling customers unfresh food. The magwinya and long donut were unfresh and the milk tart just wasn't tasty, I've had way better. What a waste of my money and the audacity to sell their magwinyas for R5 each at that quality when ShopRite sells theirs for cheaper and they are always made fresh.

Shopping there was not a #WIN for me.

I wouldn't recommend their food plus the shopping experience is made annoying but the extremely loud music being played there, you can't hear yourself think.
