Avonmore spar: Soooo disappointed!!

I am so disappointed in Avonmore Spar in Avondale Road Morningside. This morning we heard that spar will be open from 9am for 2hours. We the people from the community went to stand in the queue just after 8am waiting for it to open. There were people standing in the queue from even earlier than that. When I got there the queue was already in tenth avenue and spar had not even opened yet. We stood for hours waiting for our turn. Police and Army personnel who arrived much later were put in a separate queue as they were apparently on duty. This slowed down the queue dramatically. They were seen to within half an hour whilst the rest of us had to just wait...for hours on end...over 6 to be exact. At just before 15:00 we saw Metro POP arriving with big guns. The manager tells them that they must send all the people from 3 people in front of me right to the back of the queue home as they will not be able to see to us all. These big metro police guys with guns start pushing us and shouting that we must go home. Now my thing is this, we are law abiding citizens, not uncouth animals who push and shove our way,. We were in the queue waiting patiently to pay for our groceries, everyone was behaving in an orderly manner. All we would have liked was for the management of spar to say "Hey guys we will not be able to see to you all today", which in fact they did say. However as we had been standing in the queue for over 6 hours would it have been so bad for them to give us tickets or something with numbers so that we could come back in the morning to buy our groceries? I think everyone would have understood and been ok with that as we are not unreasonable. However they treated us like we are *********, like we were not law abiding citizens, it was really uncalled for. Why were these police members not policing all the looting that's taking place? People are *****ing like nobody's business and on the news they are saying that there are insufficient law enforcement officials. Really? I beg to differ, they called a whole crew of Metro POP members for us, with these big guns, us who are law abiding citizens!! I get back home, put the TV on and the looting is still taking place freely....no cops in sight...why?? Because they are more concerned with policing people who abide by the law than those who are lawless?? Are they saying we must rather loot instead then nothing will be done to us? At another spar police wanted to close it because people were not social distancing ?? Really?? Something is not adding up...why are they not policing those in need of policing instead of intimidating us law abiding citizens?? The word ***ard comes to mind...I'm just saying...soooooo disappointed!!
