Apparently the customer is never right

My fiance and i have had two bad experiences with De Franca Spar in Ladysmith. Our first experience was when we SASKO bought Low GI bread and the prices are labled as R11.99 and when we got to the till the price showed R17.99. My fiance showed the one Indian lady manager why we thought it was R11.99 and they said its not that product. But the label indicates that it is R11.99 and showed that on the other side of the isle is the label R17.99. Why are the products and prices not priced and placed together. For that very reason, it should have been given to us at that price, But then the owner of this SPAR is even worse with his customer service. We said we were displeased how the situation was handled and he simply did not care. We then left our whole basket and left.

The second occurrence was yesterday when my fiance went to the same spar. The fridge of the ice cream advertised assorted Dairy made ice cream 1.5 litre for R49.99. He took the cookies and cream flavor and when we got to the till it reflected R79.99. The same Indian Lady Manager said its not for that one. The owner said the same. Are they out to catch us to make more. As majority of the population, would just leave it and pay for the product. We like to get what is advertised to us the consumers and household buyers to the firm in economic terms. This is not how the public should be treated. Again the owner were also not to give it to the price he advertised it. If it was not for the flavor, he should have indicated excluded this flavor etc. How do you deal with this rudeness. Anyway we took another flavor at the end. As we had guess to entertain.

Regards
