APPALLED & DISGUSTED

17/01/2018 Myself and a friend visited the local Spar in Kloof Street, Gardens, Cape Town. Now needless to say this is not our first or 2nd second encounter. As I previously mentioned the since it has been taken under new owner ownership the quality of cooked food provided is appalling. There is a foreigner (lady) at the cooked food section who does not like us , she treats us like dirt when we are in the shop, she refuses to serve us , then you have the bold head white gentleman who i think is in charge of the food. Who has no customer service or know how to treat people. Constantly standing in the shop froning at all times. But this particular day the food was all set out and we saw a fly sitting on the fish and crawled in deeper into the dish, so i walked up to him showing where the fly was, Without saying a word to me , or apologizing he took the dish with a really ****ty attitude and called this lady wich mentioned above who gave us such a dirty look, but as I was explaining to Shahieda who is a supervisor and always helpful the fly proceeded onto the Gammon, this lady did not want to take the Gammon away , but Shahieda called her over and said the fly is also sitting on the Gammon. Apart from the cashiers, Winnie & Shahieda the rest of the staff especially the above 2 seriously needs a disciplinary hearing or some sort of warning. I am a marketing manager and have been going to Spar for 12 years and I can assure you Michelle and previous managers made us feel welcome and always had a theme every friday where he would include the staff and the clients. We were always greeted with a smile. Now you are to scared to go into the shop, the other thing is the prices is extranomical so much more than any other Spar in the Western Cape. So what we realised was that the styrofoam containers adds in a few rand, the fact that you put all your food together in one container and they ring it up as meal of the day would cost you anything up to R60 , R70 rand. But if you take the exact same food and pack it individually the amount drops too way more. Their macaroni and cheese was so disgusting the other day my friend took it back. In the mornings their eggs is offish yellow colour with water in . The bacon is filled with oil, don't get me started on the french toast, their samosas is more darker than usual. With this said we now have to walk all the way down to Food *****'s Market or Woolworths to get cooked food. We only go into Spar if is is an absolute emergency. I live around the corner from Rosmead Spar and BELIEVE ME WHEN IS SAY THEY NEED TO GET A CRASH COURSE FROM THEM ON MANAGEMENT , COOKING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!. Mrs. Vanessa Coe
