Today at around 10am I went to Quigney Tops, Evenlieght Street, East London, Eastern Cape to purchase alcoholic beverages, on arrival, there was a special on Hunters Extreme Energy drinks for R10 per 6pack.

I bought 5 x 6packs. We consumed 5 of those packs and immediately fell ill. Upon inspection of the alcohol containers, we found that the alcohol we consumed had infarct expired in March 2020, more than 6 months ago.

Spar Tops should not have put alcohol that had expired out on the shelves regardless of the sale price, this act is detrimental to the lives of many misinformed citizens and as such, am taking this matter to the local and national press for exposure.
