Very bad customer service - Steve the manager

I got a very bad experience today 20 Nov 2024at Spar Es Marais in Pretoria. I received an SMS (20/11/2024) of their specials via sms their advert did not have a date on. I went to the store to buy Fruitree 200ml x 4 @R100. When I get to the till I'm being told the special starts tomorrow 21/11/2024. I got a very bad treatment from a guy called Steve (store manager) who did not have the decency of coming to the till point but was shouting from the front desk. Why did they send out an advert today which did not have a starting and ending date? I spend my time and petrol to go to the store specifically for the fruitree 200ml x4 special.
